78 Days is a Serbian feature film directed by Emilija Gašić, released in 2024. Theatrical distribution began on the 29th of August, 2024.
The film is set in 1999, during the NATO bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The story takes place in a small town in Serbia. After their father goes to war, sisters Sonja, Dragana, and Tijana start a video diary on their home camera. Dani pass as they film the peaceful nature around them during air raids.
Things begin to change when a mysterious boy and his shy, younger sister arrive from Belgrade and move into the neighbor's house. Soon, new friendships, first kisses, and first disappointments replace the fear of bombs.
