The plot follows two timelines—the first is set in 2002, the year when Petar investigates a series of bizarre and seemingly unmotivated teenage suicides linked to the mysterious and sinister Black Rose cult. Another timeline unfolds in the present, where we follow Natasha, now a nun hiding from the law under the Church's protection, and Tomić, a police officer who is on the run, also hiding from his former colleagues while trying to find the missing Petar and discover who framed him for the brutal murder.
Nataša Janković, once a fiery atheist, is now a nun who, along with priest Jovan, former inspector Bane Tomić, and secret service inspector Petar Ćirić, joins forces to overcome a demonic legion and prevent them from taking over the world with the help of a powerful relic—the black hand that belonged to the Black Duke. That hand was once, in one of the first battles between the forces of good and evil, cut off by a Christian saint and hidden so that the forces of darkness would never reach it.
The clues leading to the Black Duke's hand are left in the classic works of Serbian artists that everyone knows. Their images hold secrets that could affect the fate of the human race on the planet. The images have a hidden magical effect and represent pieces of a puzzle that lead to the exact location of the Black Duke's hand. The search leads all the way to the final, uncertain battle between good and evil.
