The series combines elements of a thriller, drama, and mythical elements and presents a warm human story about parenthood and the boundless love of a father for his daughter and sisters for their brother, as well as the sacrifices they are willing to make.
Perisha owns a catering establishment and has a daughter, Olga, whom he is raising and who refuses to return to her studies in Belgrade, and a wife, Svetlana, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Perisha also owes money to Milutin, a local known as the Beast. In the same seaside town, living with them and intertwined with their story, is a whole host of characters and family and dark secrets, apparitions, Slavic gods, and legends.
Legend says that every year the sea takes its due—seven people, seven victims of what is the beginning and the end of everything, the source of life and survival.
