I Defended Young Bosnia is a Serbian film from 2014, directed and written by Srdjan Koljevic.
28 June 1914 In 1914, Gavrilo Princip and his comrades, young men dreaming of freedom, assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. Facing immense Austrian reprisals, Princip and his comrades decided to confess everything. However, despite all attempts to find evidence in the investigation and attribute blame for the assassination to the Serbian government, the investigation is failing. Serbia had nothing to do with the assassination, but nothing could stop the war... The trial of the Young Bosnians took place in October 1914. In Sarajevo, all that was needed was to provide confirmation with arguments for declaring war on Serbia.
The film premiered on the 14th of October, 2014. In the year 2015. RTS aired a four-episode series with the same title, using material filmed for the movie.
