This series takes viewers on a journey through time to the 1930s, and under its roof, the past and present wanted to merge. The series focuses on the family business of a prominent Banja Luka family, which is surrounded by numerous intrigues. The generation gap, conflicts, the struggle for inheritance, family sins, and secrets permeate the lives of the family members who own the hotel.
The events in the past take place during the 1930s and 1940s and reveal the circumstances that preceded and followed the birth of the main character, Branko Kuruzović. Branko, who is now in his late years, reveals that he suffers from dementia and begins a race against time to fulfill his life's mission and build a legacy for his mother, Marija. In this way, he seeks forgiveness from her for the great injustice he inflicted upon her as a boy. Simultaneously, in the present, we follow the Kuruzović family and their complicated relationships. There are Branko's sons, Dragan and Goran, and their families with their problems.
Goran is an unambitious dentist, good to everyone except himself. He is married to Ljubica, who is ambitious for both of them, as well as for their daughter Vera, whose tennis career he is trying to elevate to an international level. Dragan followed in his father's footsteps and reached the position of hotel director. Victoria enters Dragan's life, and she has her own plans for him, as well as for the entire family business.
