Naprata

The film is one of the first Serbian horror films, made in the so-called "found footage manner." The world's most famous "found footage" films are "The Blair Witch Project" and "Paranormal Activity." Ethnologist and director Mladen Milosavljević from Veliko Orašje has filmed the feature-length horror film "Naprata," whose plot is inspired by folklore fantasy.

Inspired by a famous internet video clip in which a son beats his mother, members of a television crew from Belgrade come to a small, remote village to film a report on violence against women. Searching for the actors in the video and asking the locals, they come across a local expert on the supernatural, from whom they learn that there is a ritual by which it is possible to summon an ancient demon, a djinn. In an effort to capture the first authentic recording of something otherworldly, they change the filming plan. Blinded by the potential success of the video, they ignore the old saying that "it's better to believe than to be convinced."

The film premiered on the 16th of October 2013 at the eighth Serbian Science Fiction Film Festival (SFSF), held at the Youth Center in Belgrade. At that festival, he won two Koscar awards—for best story and the audience award.
