The Silencer is a Serbian film from 2023 directed by Goran Nikolić and written by Natalija Mušić. Alongside the film, a 36-episode series of the same name was also created.
40 days after the suicide of Branko, a former boxer and a local tough from the blocks, beloved by his community, his only son—Luka (who is introverted, intelligent, and withdrawn)—begins to suspect his father's death. Luke, after his father's death, is completely alone because his mother is also dead (she passed away from cancer 10 years ago). Luca begins to believe that someone actually killed his father.
Following his intuition, Luka begins an investigation, along with his girlfriend, Nadja, and best friend, Marko. Most of his time, Luka spends at the cafe run by Gagi and Milena, Branko's best friends who, after Branko's death, take on the role of Luka's parents. Tony (spirited, talkative, and a night watchman) and Dejan (quiet and a taxi driver) are part of the cafe team, as are Branko's friends who see Luka as a son...
