Jay is the narrator of the film, guiding us not only through his life but also through the life of Dorćol during that period. That world is rich, witty, sad, and joyful, full of life and spirit. Jay spends most of his time on the street. The street represents an environment for him that is more important than school or home. He grew up on the streets, received his education, resolved moral dilemmas, found friendships, and lost loves.
