A well is a place where water is stored, and water means life. This series is a drama about existentialism and the search for meaning and the answer to why we exist in this world. The main character of the story—philosophy professor Radomir Pavlović—is searching for exactly that: meaning.
He is at the peak of his power when he sets out on that journey—young enough in his forties, yet not old enough to understand everything that will befall him on that path. Inclined to everything, yet nothing at all.
Radomir is 45 years old and is nowhere and everything and nothing. At the beginning of the story, Radomir is the most beautiful, most eloquent, all-knowing, and successful professor, beloved by the media and the author of a cult book—but one event changes everything, and it all collapses overnight. He's going to his childhood home, his native village in the center of Šumadija, which is no longer the way he remembers it.
