Wounded Eagle is a Serbian television series directed by Zdravko Šotra, broadcast on RTS 1. It was filmed in 2008, in the year of production by Koštunjak Film, based on the novel of the same name by Serbian writer Mir Jam.
The series achieved exceptional popularity during its broadcast and gained the status of the most-watched Serbian series ever. From the material from the series, a film of the same name was edited.
Milica Jakovljević, a Serbian writer from the first half of the 20th century. Veka, who wrote under the pseudonym Mir-Jam, is the author of a series of very popular novels, among which "Wounded Eagle" stands out as her most famous work. The story follows Anđelka and Nenad, a future pilot. It continues 20 years later when Anđelka is already a grown woman and is getting married. Then the plot of the whole story begins, which will be based on Anđelka's love problems and moral dilemmas. Her journey alone in a conservative world of men begins.
