Toma

Toma is a 2021 Serbian biographical drama film. in the year 2010, directed by Dragan Bjelogrlić and Zoran Lisinac, based on the idea of Bjelogrlić, Željko Joksimović, and Bane Obradović.

This film is an impressionistic portrait of Toma Zdravković (Milan Marić) that depicts his very beginnings, as well as the peak of his fame, his loves that inspired him while composing some of his greatest hits, and his relationship with the large number of friends he had in the artistic milieu of Yugoslavia. Beside Toma, the film follows the lives of famous artists of that time—Zoran Radmilović (Radomir Nikolić), Mika Antić (Marko Janketić), Tozovac (Ivan Zekić), etc. Tomin's doctor before his death, portrayed in the film as Aleksa Hadžipopović played by Petar Benčina, was in reality Prof. Dr. Dušan Manojlović.

The film premiered on the 20th of August 2021 in the final of the 27th Sarajevo Film Festival and then on the 21st of August 2021 at the Film Encounters Festival of Acting Achievements. The film was released on the 16th of September 2021 year in cinemas in Serbia.
