The Zone of Zamfirova is a Serbian film from 2002. which tells the love story between members of different social classes, the cook Mane (Vojin Ćetković) and the rich girl Zona (Katarina Radivojević), set in the environment of Niš at the end of the 19th century.
The film follows the fate of the heroine Zona, the daughter of a shopkeeper who is in love with Mane, the cook. When Aunt Doka asks Zona for Manet's hand, he is rejected and mortally wounded. His revenge is also sacred and directly affects Zona's reputation... But love knows how to overcome all obstacles, and two lovers find ways to be together.
Conceived with great ambition, the film surpassed all expectations in terms of viewership and revenue, and according to some sources, became the most-watched Serbian film of all time.
